Our founding dentist, Joshua Kennedy, DMD, started Turnagain Dental in 2019 to serve the community and help improve oral health. Dr. Kennedy has grown the practice by building partnerships with patients and improving their dental care with education and comfortable visits. He is devoted to helping patients overcome their fear of the dentist. Dr. Kennedy studies and practices various remedies to relieve dental anxiety, ensuring patients achieve healthy mouths without anxiousness or dread.
The team at Turnagain Dental includes a dental hygienist, dental assistant, scheduling coordinators, and operations manager. Many of our staff members are Alaska Natives and enjoy working in a relaxing environment with decor that makes them feel right at home with patients.
Dr. Kennedy built Turnagain Dental on the foundation of commitment to the community and advanced dental training. Our dentistry practice is Alaska’s premier option for people struggling with more complex dental concerns, such as temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder. Our dentists and staff are passionate about patient care.

Turnagain Dental has convenient office hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday. We’re closed Friday through Sunday, so our team members enjoy a long weekend with their friends and family. The full-time position includes PTO, sick time, retirement, bonus pay, and holiday pay.
